With the holidays approaching, LIPSA would like to do something to help out those less fortunate folks in our area. To do so, we'd ask anyone shooting the November USPSA match to bring a food donation, and a toy donation to the December USPSA match. Those who donate will have there match fees reduced from $20 to $10. We haven't contacted any charity organizations yet, but most likely it'll be something like Island Harvest for food and the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program for toys. Non-perishable food items would be best (some places do accept baked goods and produce, but that would cause a problem if we can't get the donations to them right away). Keep in mind that though we're close to Thanksgiving the food banks operate year-round, so 50 cases of cranberry sauce might not be all that welcome. As for toys, new unwrapped items are what the Marines ask for. We'll be making announcements at the matches and will post updates on the website.

We have made some minor updates to the website. We have eliminated the monthly newsletter. We will be updating the website more frequently from this point. We have created a new section from the main menu that will have all posted match & event information as it's received. News & updates related to LIPSA will still be posted on the main page. Match information & scores will continue to be archived monthly. The process of moving all of the previously archived match data over to the new section will take some time, but I assure you the old match data is not lost. Match directors can continue to email all match related information (divisions, special rules or regulations, stage descriptions, etc) to the webmaster. Our goal with this change is to get match information out to the public faster. If you see any issues or problems, please shoot me an email. Thanks!
